The only gripe I have is an annoyance and doesn't hamper the actual function of the iron. This model has a cord that is supposed to retract automatically into the iron with te push of a button. On literally the first use it retract about half the cord and stops. I have to wrap the rest up with a tie-wrap. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Sunbeam 4229 iron misleading 'Auto-Off' feature, This review is from: Sunbeam 4229 Steam Master Iron with Hot-Iron Storage Strip Indicator (Kitchen) My wife had previously had a Sunbeam steam iron with an Auto-Off feature.She was satisfied with iron and considered Sunbeam when she had to get a new iron. The 4229 noted a 30 minute Auto-Off on the box. She bought the iron. She complained when the iron often turned off with no warning other than water spitting. Reviewing Sunbeam information, we found that the 4229 Auto-Off is different from other Sunbeam irons. In fact a review of current irons from other major iron makers showed that this feature is unique to this iron. It turns the iron off after 30 minutes period. No amount of movement affects the turn-off. On other Auto-Off features, ironing movements keep the iron active. If the iron is in a vertical position for 15 minutes or more, the iron turns off. A safety feature turns the iron off in 15 to 30 seconds if the iron is left in the horizontal position with no movement. Ironically the 4229 instructional manual lists the 30...
