Stainless Steel is not a Good Thing, October 19, 2004 By Tere (Miami, FL United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Euro-Pro Shark Full-Sized Iron (Kitchen) I ended up returning this iron because the bottom is stainless steel -- the more you use it, the more it tends to stick to clothes -- and that makes ironing that much more difficult and annoying. Irons coated with Teflon or other substance are much better -- I would not reccommend a stainless steel iron to anyone.
Other than that, it appeared to be a decent iron. If you don't iron much, it would serve you well. But if you iron at least once a month, over time, you'll find the iron sticking to your clothes, making it pretty useless.

When the last one fell off the ironing board (of course it died), I started looking for a less expensive iron. This Euro-Pro Shark Full-Sized iron is great. It steams very well, better than rowenta, has a big vertical steam and does not drip! Need a new iron, get this one, why pay more $ for less quality.

The steam is great but not enough to compensate the lack of heat in the iron. Very disappointed with this iron. Biggest beef = This iron does not get hot enough for cotton fabric! 2. It is hard to direct the spray. 3. The power goes off (supposed to be a safety feature) and then you have to actually unplug it to reset it. Just using the dial does not reset the power. Ugh!! 4. It tips over easy on the board. Last beef = 5. It is hard to store because you can't wrap the cord around the handle to store it. (The handle design won't grab the cord, so you have to wait for the iron to cool completely and wrap it around the iron head.)And it tips easily on the shelf.
Pro: The only pro is that the cord is nice and long and flexible. Really, that's all! Can't recommend this iron.
